## Key facts

- Formatting stays intact: Bold words, links and other styling inside the text are kept while you type, so fixing one word never flattens the whole sentence.
- Enter to keep, Esc to cancel: Press Enter or click somewhere else to save the new text. Press Escape to cancel and bring back the original wording.

## How it works

1. **Switch to Edit**: Open your site in the editor and choose Edit, so the page in the preview becomes editable.
2. **Double click the text**: Double click the words you want to change. The cursor lands exactly where you clicked, ready for typing.
3. **Type and confirm**: Write the new text and press Enter. It is saved on its own and counted among the changes waiting for Publish.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I paste text from Word or Google Docs?

Yes. Pasted text comes in as plain text, so it takes on the font and the colors of your site instead of bringing formatting from somewhere else. Links and bold words already in the element stay as they were.

### Why does nothing happen when I double click an element?

Double click works on elements that hold text. Images, icons and empty boxes have nothing to type into, so select them and use the settings panel instead. Editing also pauses while the AI is making changes.

### Is typing on the page different from the text field in the panel?

Both change the same text. Typing on the page is quicker for small fixes you can see, while the text field in the settings panel helps when an element is small or hard to double click.
