Files gathers the photos and documents your site uses, whether you uploaded them or the AI saved them. Add new ones, preview them, download them or clear what you no longer need.

## Key facts

- Shared with the AI: You and the AI work on the same files. An image the AI saves shows up here, and a file you upload here is available to the AI right away.
- Find anything fast: Search by name, filter by type, sort by date or name, and switch between a grid and a list, with or without details, even with hundreds of files.
- Deletes you can undo: Before files are deleted, a copy is kept automatically, so a removed image can be brought back from Backups instead of being lost for good.

## How it works

1. **Open Files**: In the editor's left menu choose Files to see every image and file of the site, laid out in a grid.
2. **Upload or drag**: Press Upload files or drag files onto the page. Images are optimized automatically as they upload.
3. **Use or manage**: Open a file's menu to download it, copy its link or Reference in chat, and use the export menu to download everything as a ZIP.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do I upload images to my website?

Open Files in the editor and drag the images onto the page, or press Upload files. They are stored with your site, and you can place them on any page from the Change image gallery or by asking the AI.

### Can I restore a file I deleted?

A copy is saved automatically before any delete and appears as a restore point in Backups. The copy is made on every plan, and restoring it is part of Premium.

### How much storage does my website use?

The Statistics tab shows the space used, the number of files, the largest file and a breakdown by type, so you can see at a glance what takes up the most room on your site.
