Layers lists every element of the current page in order, nested the way it is built. Hover a row to highlight it in the preview, click to select it and drag to move it.

## Key facts

- Reach anything fast: Small or hidden elements, like an icon inside a card, are easy to reach in the list, and hovering any row highlights it right on the page.
- Drag to reorder: Drag a row up or down to move a section or an item among its neighbors. The page updates at once and the new order is saved.
- Copy, duplicate, paste: Open a row's menu for Copy, Duplicate, Paste inside and Delete, or use Ctrl or Cmd with C and V. Duplicating a card is the quickest way to add another.

## How it works

1. **Open Layers**: Switch to Edit in the editor. On a computer Layers sits on the left, and on a phone it is a tab of the Edit panel.
2. **Select and move**: Click a row to select that element, then drag it to a new spot among the rows at the same level.
3. **Use the row menu**: Right click a row, or double click it, to copy, duplicate, paste inside or delete, and check the result in the preview.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do I move a section to another place on my page?

Drag its row in Layers above or below the neighbor where you want it, or drag the section itself in the preview. Elements move within the same parent, so a section stays among the other sections.

### What if I delete something by mistake?

The main structure of the page, such as its body, is protected and cannot be deleted. If you remove another element by accident, ask the AI to add it back, or restore an earlier version from Backups with Premium.

### What does Paste inside do?

It places a copied element inside the selected one, for example a button inside a card. Elements that cannot hold others, such as an image, do not accept a paste, and you see a warning instead.
