- A code that expires: Each code works once and only for 10 minutes. After five wrong tries it stops working, and a new code can be requested after 30 seconds.

## How it works

1. **Enter your email**: Click Sign in, type your email address and choose Continue with email. You can do it from the home page or while you create your first site.
2. **Type the code**: Open the email, copy the 6-digit code and click Verify code. If it does not arrive, Resend code sends a fresh one after a short wait.
3. **Or use a provider**: Prefer one click? Choose Continue with Google or Continue with GitHub, and link the other one later from your account.

### What is passwordless login and is it safe?

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email instead of a password. The code expires after 10 minutes or after five wrong tries, and there is no stored password that could be guessed or reused.

### Why did my login code not arrive?

Check the spam or promotions folder and make sure the address is typed correctly. You can ask for a new code 30 seconds after the last one, and only the newest code is valid.

### Can I use Google and an email code on the same account?

Yes, as long as both use the same email address. Link Google or GitHub under Sign-in providers in your account, and you can still sign in with an email code whenever you want.
