## Summary

The Publishes tab lists each time the site went live, with its date, file count and size. If a new version goes wrong, you bring back an earlier one in moments.

## Key facts

- A clear timeline: Each publish shows when it happened, how many files it had and how large it was, and the version visitors see right now is marked Active.
- Roll back without losing work: Restoring an earlier publish changes only the live site. Your work in the editor stays as it is, so you can fix things calmly and publish again.
- Included on both plans: Rollback works on the free Starto plan too. Recent publishes stay ready to restore, and older ones are marked as no longer kept.

## How it works

1. **Open Publishes**: In the Studio side menu, open the Publishes tab to see the full list of times the site went live.
2. **Find the right version**: Use the date, file count and size of each entry to find the last publish from before the change you want to undo.
3. **Restore this version**: Open the menu of that publish, choose Restore this version and confirm with Restore. Visitors see that version again right away.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do I roll back my website to a previous version?

Open the Publishes tab, find the publish from before the change, open its menu and choose Restore this version. After you confirm, visitors see that version again, while the editor keeps your current work.

### What is the difference between Publishes and Backups?

Publishes records what went live and puts an earlier live version back. Backups keeps restore points of the files, functions and database of every site, and restoring those comes with Premium.

### Why is an old publish marked as no longer kept?

The list keeps a set number of recent publishes ready to restore. Older entries stay in the history as a record, but their files are cleared, so they can no longer be restored.
