Press Publish. The free address answers over HTTPS straight away, with a valid certificate already in place.

Connect your domain
With Premium, add your domain in Settings and copy the records to your provider. Once they are found, the status shows Verifying while the certificate is issued.

Let it renew itself
When the domain shows Connected, the certificate is active. It renews on its own, so there is nothing to track or pay for later.

Do I need to buy an SSL certificate for my website?
No. Every site gets a free certificate on its free address, and every connected domain gets one issued automatically. You never buy, upload or renew a certificate yourself.
How long does HTTPS take to work on my domain?
Usually a few minutes after the DNS records are found. The domain shows Verifying while the connection is confirmed and the certificate is issued, and then it turns Connected.
What kind of SSL certificate does my domain get?
A domain validated (DV) certificate, issued after an automatic check that the domain points to your site. It encrypts traffic with TLS 1.2 or newer, which is what business sites, shops and contact forms need.
