    In Email, open Templates and click New template. Give it a title, a name in code and a subject.

    Write the HTML content and an optional plain text version, then add the variables the email needs with Add variable.

    Pick it under Use a template when you write an email, or let a site function send it by name with the values filled in.

Frequently asked questions

How do I create an email template for booking confirmations?

Open Templates in Email, click New template and give it a name such as booking_confirmation. Add variables for the customer name and the date, write the content and check the Preview. The AI can also create it for you in the chat.

Can I change the name of a template later?

The title, subject and content can change at any time, but the name in code is permanent, because functions send the template by that name. Choose a clear English name in snake_case when you create it.

How many variables can one email template have?

Up to 50. Each variable has a key, an optional label and a sample value used in the preview and the test email, and you can mark any of them as required so no email goes out half filled.
